Classic Car & Bike Show 2008
From earlier this year on Saturday 10th August 2008, on the final day of the 2008 Sheringham Carnival when the high street from the Clock Tower down to the sea wall was closed to vehicles to allow the show.
The cars included a superb blue Marcos, some classic and vintage cars including Jaguars and classic marques such as Morgan and MG.
Around about 30 cars in all and motorbikes all parked up for visitors and locals to walk around and have a look inside all in an unhurried and relaxed atmosphere.
You cannot fail to be impressed at the beauty and pedigree of some of the cars on display. Ranging from modern to race and sport classics.
The GT40 and Ford Mustang, just two favourites from the day, aswell as an appearance by a powerful sounding Yellow Hot Rod and late on, the funky purple VW Beetle.
A few willing bikers turned up with their machines to take part.
Although I am not a biker and dont have a great interest in bikes, on the day you cant help but admire them. Classics such as Triumph motorbikes were on display.
Sheringham Carnival is an annual event lasting a whole week involving fun and games and displays for all the family.
The event raises significant money for local charities and brings a sense of pride to the chosen Carnival Queen and her attendants.
